People who vote for a finalist in a competition to have a holiday every month could share her triumph.

Lauren Stott, 26, has pledged to take one of her supporters away with her on holiday if she wins the competition.

She has been selected from more than 3,000 applicants as one of ten finalists for the dream travel job with lowcost holidays.com.

If Lauren, of Steeton, wins she is guaranteed an annual salary of £20,000 and a holiday abroad every month for a year as the official holiday reviewer.

“The final is a public vote and I’m the only Yorkshire person living in the county involved so I’m appealing to Yorkshire people to vote for me,” said Lauren, who lives at the Goat’s Head pub in the village.

“And as an incentive, I’ll be offering to take one of my supporters on holiday with me. I’ll be setting up a website on Facebook for people who voted for me to join and I’ll be picking a winner at random.”

The winner will review holidays in destinations including Majorca, Turkey, Egypt, the Dominican Republic and Rome.

She said: “This is an amazing opportunity and I’m thrilled to have made it to the finals but obviously I now want to win more than ever.”

Lauren, a former pupil of Holy Family School, Keighley, is no stranger to winning competitions having earlier this year been selected to train as a beach-hunter And she is spending two months as a volunteer for Caroline’s Rainbow Foundation which teaches young people to stay safe when travelling abroad, a prize she won with Vodafone.
