Airedale NHS Trust is holding two events for people interested in standing for election as a governor.
The hospital, at Steeton, near Keighley, is applying to become a Foundation Trust and, if successful, it would be more accountable to the public through a Council of Governors.
To help people find out more about the trust, it is holding an Everything You Need to Know event at the hospital on Tuesday from 10am to noon and from 6pm to 8pm. It will include presentations and a chance to meet chairman Colin Millar. There will also be a drop-in session at Settle Library on the same day from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
The first elections are imminent and staff will be on hand to explain what the election process involves.
