The Old Silent at Stanbury, near Haworth, has been shortlisted as Food Pub of the Year in a regional awards scheme.
It is one of two pubs vying for the prize in the Yorkshire and North West round of the Great British Pub Awards.
The nomination for the September final is due to the efforts of head chef Gareth Atkinson and his team.
Alongside traditional pub food he has introduced a dedicated fish menu and specials including ostrich.
He became head chef two years ago after training at the Dalesway in Crossflatts then working at the Airedale Heifer at Sandbeds.
The Great British Pub Awards, run by trade magazine the Morning Advertiser, culminate in a national final at the London Hilton.
