BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS: St James Church is celebrating its 300th birthday this year with a flower festival on Friday from noon until 6pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Then at 7.30pm there will be a concert with the Cobbydale Singers. Afternoon teas will be served from 3pm to 6pm on the Friday and refreshments will be available all day on the Saturday. Entry to the flower festival will be £2.50, refreshments not included. The concert will be £5 to include refreshments.
