Householders who were without electricity for 18 hours after a power cut are set to get £75 compensation.
Pool-in-Wharfedale residents lost their supplies last Sunday afternoon and were not re-connected until 9pm on Monday.
But now they have received a letter from suppliers YEDL promising an ex-gratia payment of £75 each.
In the letter customer service operations manager Nick Petty apologises for the disruption and says anyone without power for 18 hours or more is entitled to the payment.
MP Greg Mulholland, who contacted YEDL on behalf of customers, said: “I am delighted that Pool residents have been compensated. I was pleased to take up this issue on behalf of residents and pleased to have had a positive response.”
