A Wharfedale brewery has won a long-term deal to brew beer made from hops harvested in the grounds of Harewood House.
WharfeBank Brewery, based at Pool-in-Wharfedale Business Park, says the stately home’s ales – which it will also bottle, sell and distribute – will complement its core product range.
The award-winning brewery, which is on the banks of the River Wharfe only a few miles from Harewood, will create three beers under the contract – Harewood Gold, Harewood Red Kite and Harewood Dark, a stout.
WharfeBank will make the ales available in both cask and keg, so pubs can sell a “Harewood pint”.
Managing director, Martin Kellaway, said: “We are delighted to have secured the Harewood contract.”
