The Concetines in Live and Unsigned regional final

The Concetines The Concetines

Members of a teenage rock band are one step away from a final after impressing judges in a nationwide competition.

The Concetines, made up of four friends in their final years at Ilkley Grammar and Guiseley schools, sailed through the audition stage of Live and Unsigned, and will be competing in the regional finals later this month.

If successful, the band will get the chance to play in the final at the O2 arena in London.

The band was formed in 2010 with lead guitarist Danny Holt, bassist Jamie Walsh and singer and guitarist Matty Tate, with drummer Claydon Peaker joining last year. They have gone on to write and record their own material for a four-track EP, which is now available on MySpace.

The Concetines are now preparing for the regional final on Saturday, March 31, at Dewsbury Town Hall.
