Horsforth mum says donor who saved girl's life is remembered

A mother whose daughter would have died without a heart transplant is urging others to give the gift of life this Christmas.

The parents of three-year-old Gabrysia Filarowski, from Horsforth, say they are eternally grateful to the family who donated their child’s heart.

And as the Filarowskis look forward to a happy Christmas together they say the donor family is always in their thoughts.

Mum Angela said: “We owe an eternal debt of gratitude to our donor family. We hope and pray that other families can follow their courageous example.”
