Crafts and produce stalls could set up shop on a cricket field.

Addingham Cricket Club is seeking Bradford Council permission to play host to three markets on its Ilkley Road ground.

Addingham Parish Council agreed in principle to let the club host a market on the cricket field, and use the nearby football field for car parking facilities.

The cricket club leases its ground from the parish council.

The club was approached by residents interested in holding a market, which would enable craftspeople to sell their goods, such as jewellery, hand-made crafts and gifts. It is also hoped the sales will generate income for the sports club.

Club social secretary Sabi Robinson said the first market was planned for Sunday, August 7, subject to a licence being awarded.
