A mock court case with a festive twist will take place in the district next week.
Members of Magistrates In The Community will present a quiz and a mock trial at a Christmas party hosted by Addingham Civic Society.
The audience will be invited to decide the fate of a young mother charged with shoplifting just before Christmas.
David Harrison, a former deputy Lord Mayor of Bradford, has promised to keep guests amused during the special event with his own essential brand of humour.
The party will be held at Addingham Memorial Hall, Main Street, on Thursday, December 9.
Among the acts performing will be new civic society committee member and talented musician, Alan Makin, who will entertain villagers with accordion music, evoking a French cafe atmosphere.
