A project providing work-based training for young people in the Yorkshire Dales has started.
People aged between 16 and 24 are being invited to apply for the Dales Countryside Trainee Scheme.
The 12 places up for grabs will involve training for a career in environmental and countryside management.
It has been set up by the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT).
As well as studying at Craven College, Skipton, trainees will work for 22 months alongside skilled staff at local businesses.
The scheme has been made possible through grant awards of £95,000 from the Yorkshire Dales LEADER programme, £45,000 from Rural Access to Opportunities and £25,000 from the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Those interested can contact david.tayler@ydmt.org or telephone (015242) 51002 for more information and an application pack.
The closing date for applications is Thursday, July 1.
