Pippa Rayner and Don Gamble collected an award on behalf of Dales-based The Hay Time Project from BBC Countryfile’s John Craven.
The pioneering project, designed to protect and restore flower and hay meadows, won the environmental projects category in this year’s Yorkshire Rural Awards.
Andrew Colley, of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, said: “It brings back not only evocative memories of childhood but also insect life like healthy bees and bird life, especially ground nesting birds.”
