A fresh appeal for sites on which to build affordable housing has been made to landowners and organisations in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Despite a good response to an appeal launched in January, few sites were put forward in the Grassington and Threshfield area, said Peter Stockton, the National Park’s strategic planning officer.
“The bigger villages are the best places to put new housing in the National Park because they have the best range of services up and running and are a focus for local housing need,” he said.
Each site must be large enough to accommodate at least two homes and would have to meet a number of planning requirements.
Landowners have until Friday, December 11, to offer sites.
Details are available on the Park’s website at yorkshiredales.org.uk
