A former NHS finance worker from Bradford has admitted that he wrongly harboured £146,000 of public money that was paid into his family bank accounts.
Sajid Khan, of Walmer Villas, Manningham, pleaded guilty to dishonestly retaining a wrongful credit at Bradford Crown Court today.
The 34-year-old held £146,000 of NHS money in bank accounts he controlled between September 2005 and February 2009 without declaring the funds.
It is unclear how the money, some of which was spent, ended up in Khan's accounts.
He was arrested and taken to court following an investigation by NHS Protect, the counter-fraud service.
Khan, who worked for NHS Bradford and Airedale, is due to be sentenced at Bradford Crown Court in early May.
