Enterprising youngsters took to the stage as they performed in their own Laisterdyke’s Got Talent competition.
The performers at Laisterdyke Business and Enterprise College, in Thornbury Road, Barkerend, Bradford, showed off their talents which included dancing, drama and music.
The competition was won by break-dancing duo Hassan Arman and Kristian Makula. Other acts included MCs, r‘n’b dancing, a Michael Jackson act and a beat-boxing group.
The school’s head of enterprise, Gerard Liston, said: “Most of the performances are dance and music-related and this reflects the interests of the youngsters in things like Bollywood and Bhangra. They do have a lot of talent.
“We are interested in anything that helps young people get more enterprising and we are seeing this competition as a great way to make something happen. From what I have seen they have got enthusiasm and commitment and it takes nerve to stand up on the stage.”
