Two women were confronted by four masked robbers who demanded they empty the safe at a Bradford cricket club.

The women, one of whom is the stewardess at Laisterdyke Cricket Club, had returned there at 1am yesterday after reports of an alarm fault.

They were threatened by the robbers who demanded cash from the safe.

Neither woman was injured during the raid.

The suspects have been described as Asian males, with one possibly African-Caribbean. All were slim, between 5ft 4ins and 5ft 10ins tall, aged between 20 and 25 years.

They were all wearing either balaclava masks or scarves and all wore gloves.

One man was carrying a crowbar and another a claw hammer.

Shortly before the robbery one of the victims noticed two dark-coloured cars parked side-by-side on Bryanstone Road, off Broad Lane.

Anyone who saw either of these vehicles, any of the suspects or was aware of any strangers acting suspiciously in the club over the weekend have been asked to contact Detective Inspector Steve Snow at Bradford South CID on 0845 6060606, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
