ROYAL BRITISH LEGION: The next monthly meeting of the Low Moor and Wyke Branch is on Wednesday at 8pm in the Harold Club, Huddersfield Road.

ST MARY’S: Uniformed branches of the church continue to meet throughout the week. On Sunday the service at 10.30am will be conducted by the Reverend Margaret Lyons and Sue Naughton.

RUGBY: Both Wyke Rugby League teams are in cup action again on Saturday, weather permitting, with the first team away at Wortley Dragons in the Andrew Bennett Memorial Trophy and the A team away to rivals Brighouse Rangers in the Pennine Supplementary Cup.

WESTFIELD UR: The Male Voice Choir continues to rehearse on Tuesdays in the church hall from 2pm. The Reverend Kevin Watson will take the 10.30am service on Sunday.

NEW HORIZONS: Sequence dancers meet in the Methodist Church Hall on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 1.30pm to 4pm. On Friday indoor bowlers use the Wyke Centre from 10am and the computer club the Wyke College from 10am. CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP: Tonight the youth groups meet in the Wyke Centre from 6.15pm. On Sunday the all-age service followed by a meal is at 10.30am led by Mick Murphy. Robin Dance will take the evening service at 6.30pm. Toddler church meets on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9.45am. The coffee morning is open every Thursday from 10am.

METHODIST CHURCH: The morning service on Sunday at 10.30am will be conducted by Frank Laycock.

SUPPORT: The Wyke Community and Children’s Centre, in the grounds of the former middle school, is open every day and provides advice and support services on health, childcare and benefits. Call (01274) 606881.

MORAVIAN: The Adventurers Youth Group meets on Fridays from 7pm. On Sunday Paul Greenhough will take the family-friendly service at 10.30am. The ladies and men’s fellowship groups meet on Wednesday at 7.45pm.
