The widow of a Bradford soldier killed 22 years ago while serving in Northern Ireland has been presented with the Elizabeth Cross.
Corporal Ian Metcalfe, of Wyke, was killed with five other off-duty British soldiers when the minibus they were travelling in was blown up by an IRA bomb in Lisburn.
His widow, Rita Martin, was presented with the medal, awarded to the next of kin of servicemen and women killed in operations or as a result of terrorism, at a ceremony in Richmond, North Yorkshire.
The 36-year-old father-of-two was serving with Green Howards Regiment in County Antrim when he died.
