The “excessive size” of a storage container means it has fallen foul of planning chiefs.
A retrospective planning application for new fencing and the siting of a storage container on land at Carr House Lane, Wyke, Bradford, has been turned down.
The proposal, by Brian Cook, was deemed to be unacceptable by Bradford Council.
A planning officer said: “The storage container, by reason of its inappropriate construction materials, excessive size and prominent siting in proximity to a public footpath, is poorly related to the prevailing character of the locality and forms a strident and intrusive feature which is detrimental to the visual amenity of the application dwelling and surrounding area.”
The officer added that the proposed boundary fence would detract from the visual amenity of the area.
