A grandmother remains in a critical condition after she was involved in an accident in Undercliffe, Bradford, last Friday.
Margaret Long, 87, was crossing Killinghall Road at its junction with Otley Road at around 11.30am when she was in an accident with a Ford Transit van.
The grandmother-of-six remains in critical condition in hospital and doctors say she is too ill for treatment.
Grandson Andrew McIntyre said family members were keeping a 24-hour vigil at the mother-of-three’s bedside.
He said the family does not blame the driver of the van for the accident.
He said: “It is a very difficult time for the whole family, particularly around this time of year.
“The doctors and staff at the hospital are doing a fantastic job but there isn’t much they can do.
“She has been unconscious since the accident but she she’s at peace.”
