Awards have been presented to three Bradford primary schools, recognising how they make their pupils feel valued.

The Inclusion Chartermark Award has gone to Aire View Infant School, Silsden, Peel Park Primary School, Undercliffe, and St Stephen’s CE Primary School, West Bowling.

Staff were invited to Future House, the headquarters of school support services firm Education Bradford, to receive trophies.

The schools were each reviewed by the company’s officers against regional quality standards and were judged to have outstanding inclusive practice.

During the assessment, parents of pupils at all three schools commented on how staff went the extra mile to make sure their children were included and learning to their full potential.

Anne Munro, access and inclusion director at Education Bradford, said: “Congratulations to these three schools on gaining the Inclusion Chartermark.

“These are schools that have an exciting range of strategies to ensure that all their pupils are included.”
