Police have made a fresh appeal for witnesses to a car crash after which a teenager died from his injuries.
Mohammed Sohail, 17, was driving a Volkswagen Golf which was involved in an accident with a Toyota Auris at the junction of Sunbridge Road and Akam Road, in Bradford city centre, shortly before midnight on Wednesday, June 2.
The teenager, of Harrogate Terrace, Undercliffe, was taken to hospital where he died a week ago today.
The 18-year-old driver of the Auris was taken to hospital but has since been released after treatment. Two passengers in the Auris were treated for minor injuries.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said inquiries were on-going and made an appeal for witnesses.
She said: “It is believed that both vehicles had travelled from the city centre prior to the collision and officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have been passing through the centre of Bradford that evening.”
Anyone with any information should contact Detective Constable John Moore at West Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision Enquiry Team on (01924) 293047.
