A ten-year-old Bradford schoolgirl has been signed to a major football squad.
Lucy Haigh, of Ravenscliffe, has been taken on as a striker for the Manchester United under-11 girls team after playing two seasons with Bradford City.
Her mum Helen Rajas said: “She loves it, she’s getting on really well.”
Her love for the sport grew when she was scouted at Holybrook Primary School, her mum said. She added: “She picked Manchester United because she supports them. It is a very good set-up and there are a lot of opportunities there.”
