Social landlord Incommunities has received a £1.6 million grant towards building new homes on the Ravenscliffe estate in Bradford.
The funding from the Homes and Communities Agency will support the construction of 28 houses and bungalows available for rent.
Another 29 homes have been planned by regeneration company Keepmoat Homes as part of a joint development with Incommunities.
The partnership has so far seen the completion of 22 two and three-bedroom homes for let and work is underway to build a further 23 properties for Incommunities.
Around 440 properties are set to be built on the estate, of which more than 130 will be available for rent.
Jez Lester, Incommunities’ assistant chief executive, asset management, said: “This successful bid for HCA funding will enable us to provide more affordable homes on the estate.”
Subject to planning permission, work is set to start on the new homes at the end of the year.
