A man appeared in the secure dock in handcuffs at Bradford Crown Court yesterday to plead guilty to escape and assaulting a dock officer.
Amaan Rashid, 20, of Heysham Drive, Holme Wood, Bradford, was remanded back into custody to be sentenced on June 12.
He admitted escaping from lawful custody at the court on March 16 and common assault on a dock officer. His not guilty plea to causing her actual bodily harm was accepted by the Crown.
Rashid was apprehended in the courtroom after jumping out of the dock in a bid for freedom.
