Heaton man given lengthy sentence warning
11:10am Saturday 7th January 2012 in Heaton
A 31-year-old Bradford man has been warned to expect a lengthy prison sentence after pleading guilty to possessing drugs and ammunition.
Kashif Raza, of Jesmond Avenue, Toller Lane, Bradford, pleaded guilty to six charges when he appeared at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.
Raza admitted possessing crack cocaine and cannabis with intent, two charges of possessing ammunition without a firearms certificate, one of possessing a prohibited weapon – a stun gun – and one of possessing criminal property.
Judge Jonathan Rose agreed to adjourn the case until February 10 for probation and medical reports.
But he told Raza: “The offences you have pleaded guilty to are extremely serious. You know full well a custodial sentence of some length is the inevitable outcome.”
