A dance showcase from Bradford children has been held. Children from Haycliffe Special School got through to the final of the Rock Challenge dance competition earlier this year in a regional heat at St George’s Hall.

They gave a spectacular Doctor Who-themed performance featuring a Tardis. But because the national final in Grimsby was scheduled for the school holidays they had to pull out as some of the school’s young performers were receiving respite care.

They performed a concert in place of the final show at Bradford Grammar School.

Head of PE at the school Barry Holden said: “The children really enjoyed themselves they really love dancing and performing.”

Bradford South MP Gerry Sutcliffe attended. He said: “I was impressed and inspired.
