Staff and children at a Bradford nursery have been celebrating Christmas with an early present after being judged as outstanding by Ofsted inspectors.

St Edmund’s Nursery School and Children’s Centre, in Girlington, has been judged to be outstanding for a second time, while the children’s centre also received Ofsted’s highest accolade for its first inspection.

The report says children’s achievement in the nursery, registered childcare and for those attending the resourced provision, for children with special needs, were all outstanding. Headteacher Anne-Marie Merifield said: “We always have a Christmas party, but we wanted to make it bigger and better to celebrate not only one but two outstanding Ofsted inspections.”
