A company director of a controversial waste site in Bradford will set out its plans to enclose its yard following residents’ concerns over smell, dust noise and litter.
Associated Waste Management (AWM) was given permission for a £1 million building to enclose its recycling centre, despite campaigners calls to close the site in Canal Road, Frizinghall.
More than 500 people signed a petition against the site, but permission was granted by Shipley Area Planning Panel in September, as the enclosure of the waste transfer hall would minimise odour, noise and dust from the site.
A representative from AWM will speak to residents at a meeting of the Crag, Owlet and Bolton Woods Neighbourhood Forum at Bolton Woods Community Centre, Livingston Road, on Wednesday, May 9, at 7pm.
