Healthy living children are celebrating the end of a 12-week project to encourage them to eat better and exercise more.
Nineteen pupils at Frizinghall Primary School have been taking part in the Let’s Get Healthy organisation’s Jump On Board programme. Years 3 and 6 children learned about healthy food, and had a go at a variety of fun games.
Young participants collected medals to mark their achievements yesterday.
Parents have been spending the last 15 minutes of each session hearing from children what they have learned. Jo Thomson, parental involvement officer at Frizinghall Primary, said: "One boy has got his mum doing aerobics and swimming once a week and he is eating vegetables.”
