A £5,000 fence could be put up around East Bierley Memorial Gardens in Bradford.
The gardens are next to St Luke’s Church Centre, where East Bierley Pre-School is located.
As part of the pre-school curriculum, children are required to take part in outdoor activities and have been using the memorial gardens.
Now the school has been asked to look into securing the area in relation to the children.
The gardens, owned and maintained by Kirklees Council, are a major feature of the village.
At a meeting on Thursday Birstall & Birkenshaw area committee will be asked to contribute £4,000 towards the cost to add to a contribution of £1,000 from the pre-school.
