Cash from Bradford Council will help improve facilities in Cullingworth, Denholme and Wilsden.

The areas will benefit from the Visible Improvements to Community Construction programme across the Shipley area.

Ward councillors have suggested how the £90,000 should be shared out in their areas.

Spending includes £1,000 on refurbishment and energy-reduction measures at Cullingworth Village Hall and £3,000 on refurbishment of changing facilities at Denholme Football Club.

Two projects in Wilsden will also benefit, with refurbishment of the village hall roof receiving £2,000 and a new car park at the junior football club being given £3,000.

A report on the programme was due to be presented to Shipley Area Committee last night.
