Street representatives are being sought in Cullingworth, Denholme, Crossflatts, Harden and Wilsden.
The residents will become the “eyes and ears” of their neighbourhoods for public bodies.
They will help to improve their communities including reporting environmental problems.
They will also be asked to pass on good news, ideas and questions, and encourage other residents to get involved.
The street rep scheme is supported by the Council’s Shipley Area Committee, environmental charity Groundwork and housing trust Incommunities.
Anyone interested should contact Groundwork project co-ordinator Jane Halladay, pictured, on (01274) 437146.
