A simulated rescue from a smashed-up vehicle will be shown at the 2012 Emergency Service Show at the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service headquarters in Birkenshaw.

Representatives from the fire service, West Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service will all stage demonstrations at the event on Saturday, July 7, from noon.

Police dogs will demonstrate their skills and agility and younger visitors can visit the education ambulance to learn basic first aid skills.

Entry is £1 and free to under-tens. All proceeds will go to the British Red Cross, The Fire Fighters Charity and other charities.
