Bierley named 'Best Post Office in West Yorkshire'

A shop owner had spoken of his pride after being given an award for having the Best Post Office in Yorkshire.
Kiran Basra, who co-owns Bierley Superstore and Post Office in Hambledon Avenue, Bierley, with his brother Ravi, said the shop had been combined with a new post office in January.
He said: “We are very proud. We have made the most changes since we got there so I think we have been given it for excellent service and for our renovations. We are very pleased.”
The brothers were awarded the title by the Yorkshire Independent Grocers Association (YIGA).
A spokesman for YIGA said: “It’s a larger business than some other members have but there is still the whole mark of independence there and they are very enthusiastic.”
