A tetraplegic sports fan has backed a team of cyclists whose fundraising efforts will support disabled athletes.

Wheelchair-bound Mahmood Qureshi, 46, of Bankfoot, Bradford, teamed up with his hairdresser, Salvartore de Angelo Amante to pledge £75 to sponsor a group of cyclists, including 21-year-old Dean Carroll, embarking on a trip from Bradford to the city’s twin town of Hamm in Germany.

All the money raised goes towards Bradford Disability Sport (BDS), which helps train disabled athletes.

To sponsor the riders, contact Barry Thorne on (01274) 437093.
