A Bradford teenager has raised £500 for a support group for young people with autism by completing the three Yorkshire peaks challenge.

Joshua Harley-Sellers, 15, of Buttershaw, completed the 24.5-mile route in under 11 hours with the help of former neighbour Brigid-Mary Oates and her husband Richard.

The money will be given to Bradford and District Autism Support Group (BADASG), which Joshua, who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, attends regularly.

Mrs Oates, who works for Bradford Council’s fostering and support service, said: “He has done so well, we are very proud of him. It was really, really challenging, not only physically but mentally.”
