Attainment improves at Sandy Lane Primary School, says Ofsted

Attainment has improved at Sandy Lane Primary School since its last inspection, Ofsted report.

A recent assessment of the school found it is a ‘good’ performer where the proportion of pupils attaining higher levels in English and mathematics has increased.

Limited language skills do, however, hinder many pupils’ ability to use a rich vocabulary in their writing and their comprehension of technical language needed to solve maths problems, according to the report.

Overall, the school provides a safe, caring environment, inspectors found.
