Pupils at Russell Hall Primary School, Queensbury, got a taste of the great Bard during their creative arts week.
Actors in the Young Shakespeare Company visited the school for a performance of Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Other events held during the week, which aimed to introduce pupils to art from different cultures, included a performance by the Annapurna Indian Dance Company, a demonstration by an African tribal sculptor and a talk by illustrator and author Stephen Waterhouse.
The children also made puppets, masks and a Chinese dragon, which was being shown to parents at a community assembly.
Bev Hodgson, arts co-ordinator at the school, said: “It’s shown them the world is an exciting, colourful place and opened up their eyes to different cultures”
