Man admits offences nine years apart

A Bradford man who admitted twice dealing in hard drugs was today warned to expect a jail sentence.

Mohammed Umer Anwar, 31, of Devonshire Terrace, Manningham, pleaded guilty at Bradford Crown Court today to possessing heroin with intent to supply in July 2000.

He also admitted five drugs offences in November last year, including supplying heroin and crack cocaine and possessing the drugs with intent to supply, and possessing criminal property of £163 cash on the same date.

The judge, Recorder Mark Bury, told Anwar: "I am sure you know for offending as serious as this there is likely to be only one outcome – a custodial sentence."

He adjourned sentencing until March 15 for a probation reported and remanded Anwar in custody.
