Firefighters called to Kite Mews, Lower Grange, find no-one at home

Police are investigating a suspicious chip pan fire.

Fairweather Green firefighters were called to a house in Kite Mews, Lower Grange, Bradford, at about 9.20pm yesterday, but no-one was at home.

A fire service spokesman said: “The chip pan had been left unattended but no-one was in the house. That is now being investigated by the police.”

The caller who alerted the emergency services had believed someone was in the house. Minor damage was done to the kitchen.
