TWO people have suffered serious injuries after the quad they were riding was involved in a crash with a car.

The collision happened just before 4.45pm on Friday, April 20, at the junction of Canterbury Avenue and Dawnay Road, in Canterbury.

It involved a grey Skoda Rapid car and a blue and white Yamaha Raptor quad bike.

Both the driver and the passenger on the quad were thrown from the vehicle in the crash.

One is currently at Leeds General Infirmary receiving treatment for a serious head injury, and the other suffered a serious leg injury.

A 54-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and has been released under investigation.

Police are appealing for witnesses who saw either the collision itself or the manner of driving of either vehicle leading up to the collision to contact them
