TWO drains covers may have been missing for weeks, according to a Manningham resident.
This evening the council was notified of two drains in Grosvenor Terrace where the covers were missing, leaving a dangerous three feet deep hole.
Both were in a residential area where children play.
The missing covers were reported to the Telegraph & Argus by Muhammad Hijazi who said he was concerned about children playing nearby and pedestrians who may be injured.
A resident from a street nearby said she parked her car not far from there and had noticed one of them had gone several weeks ago, while the one nearest the street sign had disappeared in the past couple of days.
"I though a resident of this street would have reported they were missing," she said.
"I saw one had gone a few weeks ago but I only just noticed this second one had gone yesterday."
A spokesman for Bradford Council tonight said they had not been made aware the covers were missing until now and would have someone go and inspect them as soon as possible.
