AROUND 400 people made up of veterans, serving military personnel, Council and church dignitaries and the public attended Armed Forces Day in the city centre today.
Standards of the various ex-service associations paraded into Centenary Square for the start of the drumhead service.
This was followed by a parade led by the 1224 Wharfedale Squadron Cadet Band and the Royal Armoured Corps band which was formed three years ago.
Bradford Cathedral's Reverend Canon Paul Maybury led the service attended by Bradford Sea Cadets chaplain Jon Howard.
Speakers included Deputy Lieutenant Colonel Alan Roberts and Lord Mayor of Bradford Councillor Abid Hussain.
Cllr Hussain said: "I am honoured and delighted to be part of this drumhead service. It is so good to see so many of you here. I am always heartened by Bradford people coming together to support these events. I personally feel that it is so important that we continue to remember all our men and women in the armed forces both past and present."
