A free course designed to boost people's emotional well-being starts next month in the south and west of Bradford.
Bradford and Airedale Teaching Primary Care Trust (tPCT) is running the course as a pilot mental health project, offering people the chance to improve their mood and feel good about themselves.
The trust's primary care mental health team is keen to help people learn simple ways to boost their emotional well-being and prevent more serious problems developing later in life.
The course may help to increase knowledge and insight into emotional problems and show ways to improve emotional well-being.
Over four weeks the course will cover depression and low mood, stress and anxiety, anger, diet and exercise, relaxation techniques and access to mental health services.
At this stage only patients of GP surgeries in the Bradford south and west area can take part in this pilot project, but further courses may be held later in the year for people living in other areas.
The course will run every Monday in March, from 9.30am to 11.30am at Bowling Hall Medical Practice, Rooley Lane, Bradford.
