THREE Bradford people have been arrested by police investigating a "particularly nasty robbery" in West Yorkshire.
Investigators have questioned two men and a woman, all aged in their 20s, over a raid at a jewellery shop in Pontefract, though they have since been released to allow officers time to conduct further enquiries.
Now they are appealing for help from within the Bradford community to provide further information which could help them solve the crime.
Several men went into the Kingston Jewellers on Ropergate, Pontefract, on September 11, with one carrying a gun.
Staff were threatened and a large quantity of jewellery grabbed by the gang, who made off in a burgundy Rover 75 estate car.
That was found burning on wasteland near Wakefield Road a short time later.
Det Insp Steve Greenbank from Wakefield CID, said: "This was a particularly nasty robbery and enquiries into the it are continuing.
"Staff at the shop were shaken but thankfully no-one was hurt. I would appeal to any witnesses or anyone who has information about the crime to come forward."
Officers are also looking for silver coloured Vauxhall Astra in connection with the robbery.
If anyone has any information should call Wakefield CID on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
