A man suffered serious head injuries in an attack in Shipley last night.
The 51-year-old man was found lying unconscious in Shaftesbury Avenue, Windhill, at 8.50pm.
He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance.
A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and he remained in police custody today, said a police spokesman.
