BINGLEY will once again welcome walkers this Spring after the success of last year's inaugural Walking Festival.

Bingley Walkers are Welcome came up with the event, which was sponsored by Bingley Town Council, as a way of showing off the landscapes around the town.

This year the festival will be held on May 7, Bank Holiday Monday, and the walks will once again be free.

There will be five walks people can choose from.

The family walk is a 1.5 mile route and takes in Myrtle Park and part of the Leeds Liverpool Canal. There will be a walk to Saltaire, a 10 mile ramble around Harden Valley, a walk to Micklethwaite and a two hour "mystery history walk."
