A BRAWL in a Keighley street between rival groups of men left three in hospital and two arrested.

Police were called to reports of people fighting with weapons in Belgrave Road, Highfield, at about 6.19pm yesterday.

At least one video which was posted on social media by a witness yesterday night showed one of the fighting men brandishing what appeared to be an axe.

The same video recorded the reaction of a terrified woman in a nearby car, who found herself just a few metres away from the violent confrontation.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said the incident had already ended when officers arrived at the scene, but the police did find a white Audi A6 which had been badly damaged.

"The vehicle was recovered for further tests," he added.

"Following enquiries it was established that three males had attended hospital with injuries which appeared to have resulted from the disorder.

"One suffered a serious hand injury.

"Two men, aged 23 and 25, have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and enquiries are continuing into this incident and the circumstances behind it.

"Anyone who can assist enquiries is asked to contact Bradford District CID on 101, quoting crime reference 13180141544.

"And information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
