POLICE and councillors held a speedwatch exercise on a Bingley residential road yesterday.
It was held on Park Road from 9am to 10.30am, and the team reported nine vehicles for speeding, with the fastest speed reported being 37 mph.
The team posted the results on Facebook, but not everyone was appreciative. One commenter said: "Always target motorists. Well done, easy money. Target motorists more than criminals."
Police responded: "We appreciate in some communities speeding may not be the main concern for residents but in Bingley, this is what residents have asked us to do.
"Speed limits are there for a reason - to protect us."
